The Challenge
The Verizon Visa Credit Card relaunch coincided with a broader Verizon brand refresh, creating a uniquely complex creative challenge. While the card itself was evolving through updated value propositions and a redesigned physical product, the brand was simultaneously redefining its visual identity, tone of voice, color palette, and photography approach across both Consumer and Business audiences.
Working alongside Verizon's agency partners and cross-functional stakeholders, our team was tasked with developing a new visual expression for the card that aligned with the evolving brand while meeting the demands of an aggressive launch timeline. The challenge was to create a photography system that could scale across channels, resonate with diverse audiences, and establish a distinct presence within the highly competitive financial services category.
The Solution
I led the creative direction and art direction for the lifestyle and CGI imagery supporting the fully integrated relaunch campaign. Through close collaboration with brand, marketing, and channel partners, I helped shape a photography toolkit that balanced authenticity, warmth, and contemporary sophistication.
The creative approach centered on elevating everyday financial moments through vibrant, customer-centric storytelling while maintaining the credibility and trust expected of a financial product. The resulting imagery was designed to flex across paid, owned, retail, and digital touchpoints, providing a cohesive visual language that supported both consumer and business communications.
The Result
The relaunch delivered a robust and scalable photography library that helped define the next chapter of the Verizon brand while supporting the successful introduction of the refreshed Verizon Visa Credit Card. The work established a more elevated and contemporary visual direction for the category, received strong stakeholder support, and enabled a seamless rollout across multiple channels and customer touchpoints.
